In response to the question of the reporter of the Global Times-Global Network, Guo said that over the past 60 years, the U.S. brutal blockade of Cuba, illegal sanctions, seriously violated the basic norms of international relations such as the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, seriously violated the right of existence and development of Cuba, and caused a profound catastrophe to the Cuban people.

Guo Jiakun said that China has always opposed the U.S. blockade and sanctions against Cuba. Since 1992, China has voted in support of Cuba's resolutions opposing the U.S. blockade 33 consecutive times in the UN General Assembly. China will firmly stand on the side of international fairness and justice, continue to firmly support the Cuban people in opposing external interference and blockade, following a development path that suits their national conditions, and safeguarding sovereignty and national dignity.
