According to reports, Chiyoda Technology Co., Ltd. said that company executives discovered in September this year that since September 2022, the relevant person in charge of the company's Fukushima sales department had not handed over products to relevant departments for quality inspection in accordance with the process regulations. The person in charge forged the certificate of conformity without authorization and labeled the product with quality inspection pass labels, and shipped the product directly without quality inspection. The company also said it sincerely apologized to all parties concerned for the fraud.

The counterfeit involves 3,615 instruments, most of which are small instruments for monitoring the amount of radiation exposed to individuals, including instruments used to monitor the concentration of dust temporarily stored inside the nuclear waste facilities, etc. Tokyo Power said that in addition to the instruments supplied by Chianti Technology, other instruments were also used to monitor the amount of radiation exposed to employees without worrying about employee health problems.
