Iranian Foreign Minister: Iran will always respond to fair and respectful negotiations

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran news agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Alagji said on the same day that Iran is ready to respond if the parties are prepared for a fair and mutual respect negotiation.

Iran's Foreign Minister said: "As long as the negotiating parties are willing to consult on an equal basis, to reach an agreement on the basis of mutual respect and to discard threats of intimidation, Iran will respond at all times."

Since April this year, the United States and Iran have held five rounds of indirect talks between the two sides on core issues such as uranium enrichment. The sixth round of talks was scheduled for June 15, but was cancelled due to Israeli attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. In August, in order to pressure Iran to resume talks with the United States, Britain, France and Germany notified the UN Security Council to launch a "rapid reinstatement" mechanism due to Iran's violation of the nuclear agreement. On June 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran issued a statement stating that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action for resolving Iran's nuclear issue and the corresponding 10-year deadline laid down in UN Security Council resolution 2231 should be considered terminated.
