Erdogan asks Merkel: “Does Germany not see Israel carrying out genocide in Gaza?”

According to Reuters, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a joint press conference with German Prime Minister Martin Schulz in Ankara on 30 local time, strongly accused Germany of ignoring Israel's genocide, hunger and attacks in Gaza.

Reported that Erdogan said that Israel possesses nuclear and other weapons and uses them to attack and threaten Gaza, while the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) does not have any such weapons. He also said that although a ceasefire agreement has been reached in the Gaza Strip, Israel has launched another attack in recent days.

“Did Germany not see this?” he asked, adding that ending the famine and massacre in Gaza was the humanitarian responsibility of Turkey, Germany and others.

In the past few days, Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Israel has always expressed dissatisfaction with Hamas's progress in handing over the remains of detainees. On the evening of the 28th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to carry out a "powerful strike" on the Gaza Strip on the grounds that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement. On the 29th, the Israeli army issued a statement saying that in accordance with instructions, after carrying out strikes against relevant targets in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has resumed the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Hamas issued a statement on the same day (29th), accusing Israel of its recent military operations in the Gaza Strip of undermining the existing ceasefire agreement.
