“Stop” due to shortage of air managers, many U.S. airport flights delayed

On October 30, local time, the U.S. government's "shutdown" has entered its 30th day. Due to a shortage of air traffic controllers, flights at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were delayed on October 30, local time.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the average delay for flights at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was 91 minutes, and the average delay for flights at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was 21 minutes. Flights at Orlando Airport are also expected to be delayed that day due to staff shortages.

Earlier that day, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground suspension order to Ronald Reagan at Washington National Airport due to a shortage of air traffic controllers.

The Federal Aviation Administration said tens of thousands of flights had been delayed or cancelled during the government’s “stop” due to a sharp rise in staff shortages.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Daffy said on 30th that if the government "stop" continues, air traffic will be paralyzed.
