Russian Foreign Ministry
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Glushko told Russian Business Advisory that Western European countries are immersed in an atmosphere of war frenzy and preparing for conflict with Russia.
Grushko noted: “As I understand, a series of corrections appeared in the media after he (Belgian Defence Minister Theo Franken) issued a statement. Therefore, the question about how Belgium intends to erase Moscow from the map should be asked by him, but I cannot comment seriously on it.”
The Russian deputy foreign minister added that European diplomats did not express concern about the "Haiyan" and "Porscheim" tests, but correctly understood the signals sent by Russia.
“Based on this signal, professionals have realized that Russia has sufficient means, capabilities and political will to reliably secure national defense capabilities and security interests.”
The day before, the Russian Embassy in Brussels had responded to the threatening remarks made by Belgian Defense Minister Theo Franken to "wipe Moscow off the map" in an interview with the Morning News. The Russian diplomatic mission believes that these remarks are completely abnormal, pose a threat to the future of the entire continent and may plunge it into a new war.
