"Today, MiG-29 fighter jets intercepted a Russian reconnaissance plane over the Baltic Sea," Kosinyak-Kamesh did not disclose more details.
Earlier, the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said on the 29th that on the 28th, two Polish air force MiG-29 fighters successfully intercepted a Russian military aircraft flying over the Baltic Sea and escorted it outside the area of responsibility through visual recognition.
The Polish military said that the Russian Il-20 aircraft carrying out reconnaissance mission did not submit its flight plan and turned off its transponder, but did not violate Polish airspace and was in international airspace at that time.
