Russia says it is ready to cease fire in some areas for five to six hours to allow media access

Russian Defense Ministry said on October 30 local time that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered facilitating access for foreign journalists, including Ukrainian journalists, when contacting the Ukrainian armed forces command, so that journalists could travel to the Red Army city, the area where Ukrainian troops are located in Dmitrov and Kupiyansk.

The Russian military command said it was prepared to halt operations in the area for five to six hours if necessary to ensure foreign media representatives could safely enter.

The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the prerequisite for making this arrangement is to ensure the safety of journalists and Russian soldiers.

Ukraine has not responded to this.
