On October 30, local time, the Sudanese Ministry of Health issued a statement stating that the city of Bala in North Kordofan State, central Sudan, was recently attacked by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces.12 medical workers died.¡£

The statement said 12 medical personnel from humanitarian relief organizations such as the Red Crescent of Sudan were killed by the armed forces during the Rapid Support Forces attack on the city of Bara. The statement condemned the Rapid Support Forces¡¯ open violations of international humanitarian law, intentional attacks on civilians and medical personnel, and called on the international community to take urgent action to safeguard the safety of medical facilities and medical personnel.

The Rapid Support Force announced on 25 October that it would take control of the city of Barra that day.

On April 15, 2023, an armed conflict broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Force in the capital Khartoum, and the fighting subsequently spread to other areas.
