US military attacks "drug trafficking ship" again, killing 4

U.S. Secretary of Defense ("Secretary of War") Hagerseth said on the 29th that the US military sank a "drug trafficking ship" in international waters in the Eastern Pacific that day, killing four people on board.

This military strike brought the total number of ships suspected of drug trafficking sunk by U.S. troops to 15, and at least 61 people were killed in attacks since September.

Hagerseth said on social media that the sunk ship belonged to a terrorist organization identified by the U.S. government. According to US intelligence, the ship was traveling along a drug trafficking route when it was attacked and was carrying drugs. He did not provide evidence or the name of the drug ring.

He said the U.S. military will continue to take similar actions in the Western Hemisphere.

Earlier this month, the Trump administration submitted a memorandum to Congress, saying that the United States and drug trafficking groups identified by the United States as terrorist organizations are "in a non-international armed conflict". (CCTV reporter Liu Xiaoqian)
