Local exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Vietnam are flourishing. Vietnam has been Chongqing's main trading partner in ASEAN for many years and the main destination for Chongqing enterprises to invest overseas.
The opening of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing will open a new chapter in Chongqing and Vietnam's exchanges and cooperation. Chongqing is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to play the role of the La Meca Cooperation Mechanism, RCEP, China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone 3.0, further enhance the level of interconnection, expand bilateral economic and trade investment, deepen local friendly exchanges, and contribute greater strength to the building of a strategic China-Vietnam fate community.
In recent years, Vietnam-China relations have developed well, and local cooperation between the two countries has become increasingly active, pragmatic and efficient, which has become a bright spot in bilateral relations. Sichuan-Chongqing region is accelerating to become an important highland for China's industrial, logistics and technological innovation.
In the next step, the Embassy of Vietnam in China will fully support the Consulate General in playing a good role as a bridge and promoting deeper and more practical docking and cooperation between Vietnam and various parts of southwestern China.
