Poland maintains import ban on some Ukrainian agricultural products

On October 29, local time, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stated that despite the EU's adjustment of trade rules with Ukraine, Poland will still maintain the import ban on some Ukrainian agricultural products.

In a statement, the ministry noted that the new EU-Ukraine trade agreement, which entered into force on the same day, “applies to the import of goods across the EU”, but that some of the provisions remain unchanged, “Poland’s ban on imports of wheat, corn, olive oil and oily seeds and certain processed products from Ukraine remains in effect indefinitely.”
