When a military reporter from the British media "The Sun" was interviewing in Uzbekistan, his Ukraine colleague and interpreter was taken away on the spot and "forcibly" into the army

The newspaper’s military journalist, Jerome Starkey, was interviewed in Ukraine when his team was checked by Ukrainian military personnel, while his Ukrainian colleague and translator was taken “forced” into the army.

Staki wrote in the article that he had been interviewed by photographer Peter Jordan and a Ukrainian journalist who had "worked with him for years" on the frontline of the conflict in Uzbekistan, where he was blocked by a road barrier set up by the Ukrainian military, and Ukrainian personnel asked them to present documents, which looked like a routine inspection.

The article didn't disclose the identity of this reporter. Stuckey only called him "D", nor did he specify when it happened.

Stuckey wrote: "Our three-person team was broken up. My friend--I call him D--was deprived of his liberty." He said the reporting team "lost its interpreter and was forced to interrupt their trip." He also mentioned that a Ukrainian soldier then came over and joked: "You need a new driver... Your friend is going to war, bang bang!" "I don't know what the fate of D will be," Starkey said.

According to foreign media reports, Ukraine is currently facing recruitment difficulties. Last month, the Ukrainian government updated cross-border procedures and decided to allow male citizens aged 18 to 22 to cross the border “unrestrictedly”. Some Ukrainian front commanders said the shortage of troops had given the Russian army a chance to “penetrate” the defense line. In recent months, several videos of recruiters forcibly taking young men out on the streets have been circulated on social media. But so far, the Ukrainian government has still refused to accept the recommendation of U.S. officials to reduce the age of recruitment from 25 to 18.
