The EU¡¯s sanctions barrel has fallen again, and this time 12 Chinese companies have become new targets. Recently, the rotating EU presidency of Denmark officially announced the approval of the 19th round of sanctions against Russia, in this long list, 12 companies from mainland China and Hong Kong are listed. These companies are mainly concentrated in the refining and oil trade fields, including Liaoning, Shandong, two large independent refineries, and several Hong Kong companies that engage in deep cross-border energy trade.

As for the reasons for the sanctions, the EU is still saying that it has applied more than three years of old pattern: "Help Russia to evade sanctions." Anyone who is familiar with the US-European operations pathway is clear, this phrase is never just an empty accusation. For three years, they have every time hanged in their mouths "holding certain evidence" as if the iron evidence was a mountain, but never revealed any evidence to the outside world. Since the outbreak of the conflict, this has always been the goal that the United States and Europe want to achieve.

But we adhere to one bottom line: respect the sovereignty of all countries and never interfere in other countries 'internal affairs.

The Ministry of Commerce clearly stated that the EU's practice seriously undermines the overall situation of China-European economic and trade cooperation and impacts global energy security, and China will take the necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises. Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiangkun also directly put forward a strict negotiation, stressing that the European side is not qualified to speak three-way to the normal cooperation of Chinese-Russian enterprises, and China will use all necessary means to defend its own rights and interests.

The current global economic recovery is in a fragile and critical period, and what is needed most is cooperation and unity, not opposition and division. EU sanctions will not only help resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict, but will also seriously damage China-EU mutual trust and disrupt the global economic and trade order.

Sanctions have never been a panacea, and respect is the prerequisite for cooperation.
