On October 29, US President Donald Trump said he was unable to coordinate the time of the meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

On the same day, Trump held a bilateral meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-ming at the Gyeongju National Museum in South Korea: "I know Kim Jong Un very well and we get along very well. It's just that the two sides really failed to coordinate the meeting time."

Previously, Trump had released his willingness to meet. On August 25th, he expressed his hope to meet Kim Jong-un this year; Earlier on October 29th, he also reiterated this will and mentioned that he might soon return to Asia to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
