Thai Prime Minister Says Will Invite Nearby Countries to Discuss Cybersecurity

On October 29, Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin said that Thailand plans to host a multilateral meeting to invite surrounding countries to discuss the problem of combating cybercrime.

Speaking to media during the ASEAN Summit, Anutin said he had reiterated Thailand’s commitment to fight cybercrime and officially proposed a regional multilateral meeting to tackle cybercrime in a more concrete and resolute way.

Recently, the Thai government has attached great importance to combating cybercrime. Anutin previously said that Thailand has raised the fight against fraud and cybercrime to a "national agenda" and will use all possible means and various forms to actively participate in the international community's actions to combat fraud groups.
