According to the Daily Telegraph, the American billionaire John-McVoy is one of the buyers of the Mercury Club.
McEvoy is an investor in baseball, ice hockey and music in the United States. The article revealed that McEvoy has been weighing the offer for Sheffield Wednesday for months. An interesting detail is that McEvoy's company owns part of the Sheffield band Reverend and the Makers, and sources believe that Jon McClure, the lead singer of the band and famous Sheffield Wednesday fan, has been consulted by McEvoy.
