In the attitude toward China, many countries and organizations have recovered from previous hardships and turned to seek cooperation.
The United States has always been tough in trade with China before, but in the end it was soft, chose a truce and signed a trade agreement; Germany also took the initiative to speak out, hoping to have respectful and good exchanges with China.
Even the European Union, which had made a lot of harsh words before, changed its attitude. It lamented the high level of the Chinese delegation and agreed to meet in Brussels on Thursday for talks.
The Netherlands, however, is a “knockhead” and always dies without repentance.
From being soft to being hard
On October 27th, according to Reuters, four Dutch politicians were still pouring dirty water on China when they were interviewed.
It is said that the Netherlands took action against Chinese companies because China's Wingtech Technology plans to lay off 40% of Nexperia's employees and close the company's R&D facilities in Munich, Germany.
Four Dutch politicians also alleged that before October 1, the team had transferred personnel to the plant in Manchester, England, and subsequently transferred physical equipment from the plant in Hamburg, Germany.
But when Reuters asked them for actual evidence, these four men couldn't come up with anything; Even so, they later stressed that the Dutch government believes that it can negotiate a solution with China.
The UK is not idle either. On October 26, the British "Telegraph" reported that a number of politicians led by former British Conservative Party leader Sir Smith asked the British government to "forcibly divest" Nexperia's chip factory in Manchester, England.
The reason is that Chinese companies holding the factory will threaten Britain's national security, and they also want China to sell it at a low price.
This is not the first time the UK has done so, and in 2023, they forced Anselm Semiconductors to be sold at a factory in Wales.
The Dutch absurdity.
The Netherlands 'operation of Anser Semiconductor is unbelievable; their forced takeover was based on Dutch local regulations around 1953.
To be known, the Anse Semiconductor is a multinational enterprise, using a local methodology decades ago to dispose of, even worse than the similar operation undertaken by the United States in the name of the federation, there is no reason.
The Dutch government also found various excuses to defend itself, saying that it was out of "national security considerations" and then saying that it wanted to "ensure the security of the supply chain."
Even more surprisingly, from the court documents of the Dutch courts can be seen that the United States explicitly asks for the "replacement" of the Anselm Semiconductor Chinese leadership, which shows that behind the Dutch behavior, in fact, the United States is interfering.
Moreover, the Dutch excuse is simply untenable. They say that Chinese companies want to lay off nearly 40% of Nexperia's employees, but the world is currently affected by tariff wars.
Every day there are corporate dismissals and bankruptcies, Volkswagen and Mercedes in Germany are announcing dismissals, also closing European factories to move R&D centers to China, and has not seen the German government to take over these enterprises.
Huawei and other Chinese companies also have R&D centers in Europe, and they haven't seen anyone abolish them casually. It's normal for companies to make adjustments according to market changes, but it's ridiculous that the Netherlands uses this as an excuse to take over the company.
What's more, the Netherlands also wants to play tricks in the negotiations, proposing to reorganize the management of Anshi into a "Dutch-Chinese structure".
The translation of this statement means that An Shi was a "burden" that European companies could not continue to operate and dumped to Chinese companies. Now that it has been revitalized by Chinese companies, the Netherlands wants to take it back.
Let Europe take the lead in revenue and take the decision-making power, let only Chinese enterprises be responsible for production, and let China "work".
If China agrees to this condition, Chinese companies that invest in Europe in the future will probably be demolished to the point where no bones are left.
Europe suffers from its own consequences
The first thing to suffer from this trouble in the Netherlands is Europe's own industry.
Nexperia provides a large number of compliant semiconductor materials for German car companies. The original supply chain was that the Dutch headquarters was responsible for R&D and sales, and factories in China, Germany and Southeast Asia were responsible for production.
However, after the forced takeover by the Netherlands, the Dongguan factory, which controls 70% of Nexperia's production capacity, received a notice to restrict shipments after the National Day holiday, which directly caused a "big earthquake" in the global automotive supply chain.
The chip reserves of companies such as Volkswagen in Germany can only be supported for 1 to 2 weeks, after which production must be stopped; according to the analysis, 86% of the leading companies in the seven major industries in Europe, all purchased chips from Anselm Semiconductor China production base, and Japanese car companies also suffered.
And the European automotive industry is also facing the problem of rare-earth supply tensions, and a Toyota senior said that China has the ability to stagnate the entire automotive industry in 60 days, because the rare-earth inventories of European automotive manufacturers can only support up to 60 days of production.
On the one hand, the shortage of chips, on the other hand, the rare earth is not enough, and the European automotive industry may stop production at any time.
The EU was still tough at first. Germany, France and the European Commission made harsh remarks through the media, saying that they would take countermeasures against China and even consider using extreme measures in the field of trade.
The risks of industrial shutdowns are increasing, and the EU has begun to panic again, and the attitudes have become contradictory.
This is actually the result of the Netherlands 'selfish interests. It can be said to be "lifting a stone and dropping the Germans in the foot", which has also further highlighted the contradictions within the EU.
Even worse, the Dutch behavior breaks the spirit of treaties universally adhered to by the international community.
If this behavior of “taking security as an excuse, arbitrary robbery of corporate assets” is permitted, the international business environment will fall into the chaos of “weak meat fasting.”
And companies like Asma in the Netherlands also rely on Chinese rare earth production, now they have broken the rules, and the outside world is questioning whether China will not suspend rare earth approvals on the grounds of "national security", which is undoubtedly a potential big trouble for the Dutch semiconductor industry.
Not only has the Netherlands blamed China, but it may also be subjected to resistance within the EU and other countries and enterprises that value the spirit of the treaty for violating the rules, and may be afraid to fall into isolation in international business cooperation.
conclusion
China has long been the China of the past, facing Europe's unreasonable behavior, the Chinese side resolutely countered, from restricting the shipping of chips to the upcoming opening of rare-earth export negotiations, showed a firm position.
If the European Union does not recognize the reality that "security depends on the United States, the economy depends on China", it will continue to follow the United States to make mistakes, and ultimately will only eat its own bad results.
In this contest, China has the confidence and ability to safeguard its own rights and interests, and Europe should think carefully about how to go ahead.
