Kenya's road transport ministry said on Monday that there were 11 people on board the plane that crashed the same day, all of whom died.
It is reported that the crashed plane took off from Diani Airport at 8:25 a.m. on the 28th and its destination was Kichwa Tembo Camp in the Masai Mara Animal Sanctuary. The aircraft is registered and operated by Mombasa Air Travel Company. At 0835 hours, the aircraft lost radar contact with the Mombasa International Airport control tower. Subsequently, the multi-agency Incident Response Service team immediately rushed to the scene and found the wreckage of the aircraft in County Quale. All 11 people on board were killed and the plane was damaged by the impact and subsequent fire.
Earlier, the Kenya Civil Aviation Administration announced that 12 passengers on board the crash plane had all died.
