According to multiple foreign media reports, around 5 p.m. on October 26 local time, the Clan Border Forces (BGF), allied with the Myanmar military, detonated several fraudulent buildings in the KKK park. This was the fourth round of explosions since the 24th, located only about 500 meters from the border with Thailand.

Thousands fled and many drowned.

As the bombing continued, thousands of fraudsters in the park were rushing to escape, some walked, motorcycled, and jumped into the river Moï attempted to cross the river. Due to the rapid flow and wide river surface, many people were drowned because of physical inability. Thailand officials said that at least three bodies have been found on the bank of the river, the actual death toll is likely to be much higher.

As of the 27th, the number of foreign refugees who fled into Thailand has increased to 1,255, including 1,275 men and 250 women. According to nationality statistics, 482 people are Indian, followed by 220 Filipinos, 193 Chinese, as well as Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan and others.

Thailand to strictly verify the identity of immigrants

The Thai government has set up 24-hour checkpoints and temporary settlements in the border area and has now housed more than 800 people, most of whom have been detained for illegal entry.The Thai Immigration Office spokesman Choengron Rimpadee said the authorities are working with the security forces to use mobile biometric identification systems and patrol scanning equipment to verify the identity, travel records and criminal background of those who have fled, and stressed that they will take the law seriously and “never disregard.”
