On October 28, Turkey's health minister Kedel Memishulu said the quake in the northwestern province of Balek Ezir had injured at least 26 people. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that the earthquake caused three abandoned buildings and a shop to collapse, and there is no news of deaths. The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency issued a notice on social media on the evening of the 27th, saying that a 6.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in Bakesir province that night. The epicenter was located in the town of Sendge in the southern part of the province, with a focal depth of about 6 kilometers.
