Multiple blue dogs have been found near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. They are active and healthy. Local: Trying to catch them to find out why

According to a Haike News report on October 27, northern UkraineChernobylBlue dogs were photographed at the nuclear power plant this month.

The local organization "Chernobyl's Dogs" said they encountered three blue dogs while catching dogs and are currently trying to catch them to find out why. These dogs are the descendants of pets abandoned by locals after the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident.

The videos showed that the dogs’ hair was uniformly bright blue, the skin had no obvious abnormalities, and behaved active and healthy.

There are large amounts of waste industrial facilities in the Chernobyl isolation zone, which may contain residues of paint, solvents or heavy metals (such as copper sulfate), such as a similar precedent: in 2021, the Russian city of Chernobyl leaked chemical factory waste, resulting in seven wandering dogs being painted blue.
