According to the German news agency on October 27, after several months of facing Elon Musk, U.S. President Trump on October 27 expressed goodwill to the tech industry billionaire.
"I like Elon, and I feel like I will always like him," Trump told reporters during a visit to Asia.
Musk donated more than $250 million to Trump's campaign last year. In the early months of Trump's second term, he became a close adviser to the president and was ordered to quickly cut government spending.
But in the early summer, due to a major budget bill pushed by Trump, the two broke relationships and soon began to attack each other on social platforms.
In July, Musk announced the creation of his own political party, but since then there has been no more news about the party.
Since then, Musk’s political activity has been limited to expressing right-wing views on social platform X.
In September, Trump and Musk spoke during a rally to commemorate the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
Trump said he had had some contact with Musk since the commemoration, but called the contacts "nothing important."
Trump said the tech billionaire was going through “a bad moment” at the time.
"It was a stupid moment in his life, very stupid," he said, "and I'm sure he'll tell you that."
