Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economy Sijardo Peter said in Budapest on the 27th that Hungary will not allow negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union to start because it would pose a threat to the European continent.

Speaking to lawmakers in Congress that day, Seyardo said: ¡°As long as I am Foreign Minister, as long as Viktor Orban is Prime Minister, it is certain that negotiations for Ukraine¡¯s accession will not be started.¡±

Siyardo said that Ukraine's accession to the European Union, even if it only initiates substantive accession negotiations, will pose a threat to Europe, because Ukraine's accession to the EU will pose a threat to Europe's security, economic functioning and labor market functioning.

Seyardo said substantive negotiations on Ukraine¡¯s accession have not yet started because Hungary has vetoed the proposal, and the Hungarian government is under great pressure to do so, he criticized EU leaders and some of the mainstream Western European politicians for not trying to promote peace, but instead for destroying peace.

Hungary is a member of the European Union and NATO.Orban¡¯s government has always questioned Western military aid to Ukraine, while not supporting Ukraine¡¯s accession to the EU.
