On October 26, local time, Ecuador's President Novoa signed the executive decree No. 189 declaring the lifting of the state of emergency in the 10 provinces of Pichincha, Assuay, Bolivar, Cotopaxi, Tonga, Chinbolaso, Canario, Oreana, Sucumbio and Pastaza as a result of the improvement of the situation.
The executive order stated that since the 22nd, the roads in the above-mentioned 10 provinces have been opened, violent protests and conflicts have stopped, and residents' activities have returned to normal. Therefore, it was announced that the state of emergency would be lifted in advance. The executive decree has been notified to the National Assembly, the Constitutional Court, United Nations organizations and the Organization of American States.
On the evening of 4 October, Ecuadorian President Noboa signed Executive Decree No. 174, declaring a state of emergency in the country's 10 provinces due to severe internal unrest, suspending rallies and avoiding violence that led to the collapse of public services.
