More than 10,000 tons of aid will enter the Gaza Strip from Egypt

On the 27th, local time, the Egyptian Red Crescent launched the 59th fleet of Egyptian aid humanitarian supplies to Gaza. More than 10,000 tons of emergency humanitarian supplies, including about 6,000 tons of food and flour, more than 2,700 tons of basic medical and rescue supplies and 1,500 tons of petroleum products.

WHO says aid is still far from enough

On October 23, the World Health Organization held a press conference stating that since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, aid to Gaza has increased, but it still cannot meet the needs and is far from reaching the target aid volume. The group called on Israel to open the Rafah crossing and allow more humanitarian agencies to work in Gaza.

The Rafah crossing is located at the southern tip of the Gaza Strip, connecting the Egyptian border, and is the main channel for international humanitarian aid to enter and exit Gaza. According to the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, the Rafah crossing should be reopened on October 15, but the Israeli government continues to close the crossing on the grounds that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) failed to hand over the remains of all detainees on time.
