On October 27 local time, a Turkish court issued a new arrest warrant against the currently detained mayor of Istanbul, Imam Oulu, on suspicion of involvement in “political espionage” activities. It is reported that the court also issued arrest warrants against Meldan Yanarda, editor-in-chief of Turkish television news channel Tele1. Previously, the channel had been taken over by the government on the same charge.
