The U.S. National Hurricane Research Center said:Hurricane Melissa has increased to grade 4 hurricane., its maximum sustained wind speed increased to about 220 kilometers per hour and moved west at a speed of 5 kilometers per hour. Affected by hurricanes, catastrophic flash floods and landslides may occur on the island of Haiti and Jamaica in the Caribbean Sea.

The U.S. National Hurricane Research Center expects Melissa to land in Jamaica on the night of 27 or 28 local time, and to land in the southeastern part of Cuba on the night of 28th,ining a strong hurricane when landing.

Dominica and Haiti's civil defense departments said on Monday that "Melissa" has killed three Haitians and one Dominican.
