U.S. government "shutdown" causes shortage of air traffic controllers and thousands of flights are delayed

U.S. Transport Secretary Sean Daffy said on Monday that more than 20 air traffic controller shortages were at U.S. airports.

According to the flight tracking website, more than 5,300 flights were delayed in the U.S. on the 25th, and more than 4,700 flights had been delayed as of 16:00 on the 26th.

Since the U.S. government’s “stop-down”, air traffic controls have become more blurred over the shortage of personnel, and flights to multiple U.S. airports have been delayed. The government has warned that the shortage of personnel will further escalate in the coming days, leading to more flight delays and cancellations, as 28th airlines will not receive a full salary for the first time.
