On October 25, local time, the U.S. Department of Agriculture posted a notice on its website that the U.S. federal government¡¯s ¡°supplemental nutritional assistance program¡± would end on November 1.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said funding has dried up. Currently, no benefits will be paid out on November 1.

It is that the federal government's "supplemental nutrition assistance program" covers about 42 million people, with the main beneficiaries being low-income groups, disabled people and the elderly, who can use government-subsidized food tickets to buy food in designated stores.
