Xinhua Agency, Moscow, October 26 (Reporter Hou Ming) Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov said in an interview with the media on the 26th that the new sanctions imposed by the United States and Europe on Russia have complicated the repair of Russia-US relations.

Mr. Peskov said Russia will continue to be guided by its own interests and its interests in establishing good relations with all countries, including the United States, and that the actions taken by the United States over the past week were unfriendly, indeed damaging the prospects for our relationship to recover, but that doesn¡¯t mean we should abandon these efforts.¡±

Peskov also said in the interview that Russian President Putin undoubtedly values the sincere desire of U.S. President Donald Trump to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, but that the matter cannot be done "overnight".
