China's Embassy in South Africa appreciates the South Korean police's killing of suspects involved in our kidnapping case

A Chinese citizen was kidnapped in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa in June this year, and was rescued after our embassy and the Consulate General in Johannesburg went deep into the south. The embassy and consulate in South Africa immediately sent personnel to visit and express condolences to my rescued people. Ambassador Wu Peng and other leaders of the embassy and relevant departments of our embassy continued to express serious concern to the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Police Department at multiple levels and channels, urging the case to be solved as soon as possible. On the morning of October 25th, Gauteng Provincial Police Chief Mutobeni informed Ambassador Wu Peng that the South African police successfully killed three suspects involved in the above-mentioned kidnapping case in Parktown, Joburg on October 24th.

In the next step, the South African Embassy will continue to promote the investigation of South African police cases involving me and make every effort to safeguard the safety and legitimate rights and interests of my Southern personnel, while also reminding me that Southern personnel should pay close attention to the local security situation and take effective measures to strengthen security precautions.
