Battle of the Islands: the Russian Army's jumpboard tactics
The Dnieper River front is in emergency! The Russian army forcibly crossed through multiple routes, and the Ukrainian defense line encountered a three-dimensional assault. The Ukrainian army's position on the right bank of Kherson is critical. The Russian army is breaking the NATO red line and preparing to kill the Dnieper River.
Since January this year, the Russian army has started a carefully planned battle for the Dnieper islands. By May 12th, five major islands, including Veliki Island and Bakeski Island, had changed hands one after another.
At the end of August, Russian troops advanced towards Alekseyevsky Island, heading straight for the destroyed bridge in Prideniprovsk. On October 14, Kozatsky Island was completely controlled; the next day, Kalantini Island was successfully landed.
In the early morning of October 22, dense river crossing formations suddenly appeared in the lower reaches of the Dnieper River. The scouts and airborne troops of the Russian "Dniepr" group took high-speed assault boats, forcibly crossed the Dnieper River under the cover of night, and successfully landed on Kalantini Island.
The Ukrainian army has deployed US-made Harpoon anti-ship missiles, domestically produced Neptune anti-ship missiles, and various drones and artillery forces along the coast. The Russian army did not launch a large-scale landing campaign. The Russian army lacked large landing ships and air defense frigates and could not effectively support operations.
The Russian army adopted the classic "island-by-island" tactic, each island becoming a support point for the next operation.
First, Russian FPV drone operators implemented all-weather battlefield surveillance to intercept Ukrainian drones using a cable rope innovation. Secondly, the Air Force launched a Su-34 fighter aircraft, threw FAB-3000 air bombs to the bridge connecting the island, cutting off the Ukrainian military reinforcement route. Most importantly, the "Iskander-M" ballistic missile precisely hit the right-shore industrial workshop, destroying the Ukrainian military's potential defense works.
The cross-sea forces used multi-wave assault tactics. The first wave of reconnaissance soldiers were on armored assault boats, equipped with night vision equipment and portable air defense missiles. The second wave of labor forces carried bridge equipment to prepare for the subsequent heavy equipment of the cross-sea. During the period, several Russian military units continued to provide coverage on the battlefield.
Use hooked cables to innovatively intercept Ukrainian drones, effectively hindering Ukrainian reconnaissance and attack operations. The Russian Aerospace Forces used FAB-3000 aerial bombs to accurately attack the Kolabel Bridge, cutting off the Ukrainian reinforcement route.
Russian missiles attacked the battle, Russian "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles attacked industrial workshops in the right bank region, destroying potential defense works and electronic confrontations: effectively suppressing Ukrainian military communications and reconnaissance equipment.
The importance of the Battle of Helsinki goes far beyond the scope of the local conflict. If the Russian army succeeds in controlling the right bank of the Dnipro, it will have far-reaching consequences: Ukraine may completely lose its seashore, and the economic life is controlled.
The Russian army can solve the supply problem through sea transportation and build a more stable defense system. The security environment in Crimea will be fundamentally improved, and the strategic pattern of the Black Sea will face reorganization.

Outside the battlefield: the geopolitical chess station is flooding
Especially after capturing Kalantini Island, the Russian army gained a forward position only 90 meters away from the main urban area of Kherson. According to the latest news, multiple Russian reconnaissance and sabotage teams have covertly crossed the last 90-meter-wide waterway. Russian troops infiltrated into the main urban area of Kherson for the first time. This long-awaited river crossing battle marked the official start of the Battle of Kherson.
According to local sources, the streets in southern Kherson have become "death passages" and many villages have become "ghost domains". Although the Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets launched counterattacks, it was difficult to make a difference until the Russian army improved its air defense system.
Despite the emergency mobilization of reserves and drone operations teams, in the Aliochsky region, Ukrainian sniper groups, transport fleets and communications equipment were targeted. More seriously, Nikolayev-Helsun Road, despite the defense grid, still destroyed several military vehicles by drones.
Western military observers believe that the temperature trend in the next two weeks may affect the development of the war more than any weapons and equipment. The Dnieper River, a thousand-year-old natural danger, is ushering in the most dramatic winter.
The speed of ice on the Dnipro river is significantly accelerating.Russian engineers began testing the load of the ice layer, while Ukrainian artillery focused on bombing the weak links of the river.
The Russian army is establishing a landing site in the island group at the mouth of the Dnieper River: direction of Kalantini Island: control the entire island and conduct reconnaissance operations towards the urban area of Kherson. Advance 500 meters. Direction of Kozatsky Island: Establish solid artillery positions, direction of Alekseevsky Island: Engineering units are erecting heavy pontoons
Meanwhile, the Russian army continued to pressure in the direction of Donetsk. 60% of the Red Army Village Twin City area has been controlled, the Red Man Front pushed down to the city and Seversky was besieged. These offensives responded to each other, putting the Ukrainian army in a multi-line battle situation. Russia's goal is likely to divide the river and even take the Dnipro river antenna in the direction of Helsinki.
