Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Turkey discuss Gaza

Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali and Turkish Foreign Minister Ferdinand made a phone call on Monday to discuss the situation in Gaza, including the ceasefire agreement.

Both sides emphasized the importance of consolidating the current ceasefire agreement and maintaining peace, saying it will help achieve security and stability in the region. The two sides also emphasized the importance of strengthening joint consultation and coordination on regional and international issues to safeguard the common interests of both sides.

Abdulati said that the terms of the ceasefire agreement must be fully implemented to ensure a permanent ceasefire. He also stressed the importance of humanitarian aid entering Gaza.

The two sides also discussed preparations for the international conference on the early recovery, reconstruction and development of the Gaza Strip to be held in Cairo in November.
