On October 25, the Thai Cabinet announced that public servants and state staff have entered a year of mourning period since the fall of the Queen of Thailand.
According to the cabinet resolution, government agencies, state-owned enterprises and schools must fly their flags at half-mast for 30 days from now on; Civil servants and state employees wear plain black or mourning clothes throughout the year to show their condolences.
The government also called on the public to participate in 90 days of mourning in black or dark clothes, 30 days of ban on entertainment, depending on the circumstances, and also recommended that all parties suspend entertainment shows and celebrations to show respect and reflection to the Queen.
Prime Minister Anutin confirmed that the official visit to Malaysia scheduled for today (10.25) had been cancelled, but expected tomorrow (10.26) to attend the signing ceremony of the Tajik Peace Declaration, when the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the President of the United States will be witnesses. In order to facilitate her return to Thailand as soon as possible to attend the Queen's ceremony, sign time or be from afternoon to morning.
