According to recordings of the meeting by the Ukrainian newspaper, Zelensky called on European countries to increase their efforts on air defense issues on the same day, and he subsequently mentioned the Patriot air defense missile system.

"The current situation involves many complicated details, and we have discussed the Patriot system with the US government and defense companies. Even though we have paid for these systems and missiles, and Europe has paid for them, there is still a supply order list-some countries are ahead of us (getting delivery). In addition, some countries already have Patriot systems, but fortunately they don't need to use them as urgently as we do. " Zelensky said.

¡°So we suggest adjusting the order¡ªif we get the [Patriot] system now, we¡¯re ready to return it or replace it when it¡¯s our turn to get it delivered,¡± he added.

Zelensky told reporters on Monday that Ukraine was preparing to sign an order agreement with U.S. defense companies involving 25 Patriot air defense missile systems, which could be delivered annually.Zelensky said that since several countries had previously signed a Patriot order agreement, Ukraine needs to "line up". He also said that the U.S. can change the order of supply if the countries are willing. Ukraine will seek concessions from some European countries so that Ukraine prioritizes "patriots".
