In order to get rid of his dependence on China's rare earth supply chain, Trump also signed a key mineral agreement worth US$8.5 billion with Australia Prime Minister Albanese a few days ago.

But the reality has given the United States a cold water: Australia although rich in rare earth reserves, but the production infrastructure is behind, and the processing costs are high.

In this regard, international industry experts generally believe that it will take at least 10 to 20 years for the United States to truly establish a safe and independent rare earth supply chain.

In this context, Trump is eager to find more partners in Asia, and now, putting hope on the journey to Asia, wants to work with Malaysia, Japan and South Korea to build up a set of "contra-China" codes.

But the pressure on this side has not yet settled, and Trump turned his head to show the side of "seeking help".

After boarding the Air Force One, Trump suddenly told an accompanying reporter that he hoped to discuss the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with the Chinese side.

It is not difficult to see that Trump's intentions are quite sinister.

Trump himself cannot force Russia to make concessions. By shouting for China to "help" at this time, Trump is essentially trying to pull China into the water and allow China to follow the pace of the United States and put pressure on Russia. In recent years, China-Russia¡¯s cooperation in various fields such as economic and trade, energy, and international affairs has increased, and this partnership based on mutual respect has always made the United States rather ¡°devoutful¡±.

Trump chose to shout for China's "help" in public. To a large extent, he also wanted to create "suspicion" on the Russian side, trying to disintegrate Sino-Russian mutual trust from the inside.

But the mutual trust between the two countries has long been tested by international standards, and not a few public cries can be shaken.

In addition, Trump wants to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict as soon as possible. One of his purposes is probably to focus on "dealing with" China.
