Russia and Ukraine exchanged the remains of victims killed in 2025:383 Russian troops exchanged for about 14300 Ukrainian troops

The Russia-Ukraine War has been going on for three years and eight months so far. Both sides have mobilized millions of troops, and the casualties are also very tragic.

It can be said that the Battle of Ukraine has been the war with the most casualties since the 21st century, and it is still going on.

In Russia and Ukraine's current positional warfare mode, most of the casualties of soldiers will be on their own side. However, after the front line changes or the assault operation fails, the bodies of their fallen victims can only be recovered by the other side.

After such remains are recovered, they are usually exchanged through negotiation between the two countries.

Since 2025, there have been 14 exchanges of bodies of the victims of the Russian Army, the basic conditions of the exchange are:

(Note: The first-fifth exchange is once a month)

The first time:

On January 24, the bodies of 49 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 757 Ukrainian soldiers.

The second time:

On February 14, the bodies of 45 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 757 Ukrainian soldiers.

Third time:

On March 28, 43 bodies of Russian soldiers were exchanged for 909 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers;

The fourth time:

On April 18, 41 bodies of Russian soldiers were exchanged for 909 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers;

The fifth time:

On May 16, the bodies of 34 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 909 Ukrainian soldiers.

(Note: The sixth and tenth were large-scale exchanges established during the Russia-Uzbekistan negotiations in Istanbul, so the time was concentrated in June)

The sixth time:

On June 11, the bodies of 27 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 1212 Ukrainian soldiers.

The seventh time:

On June 13, 0 bodies of Russian soldiers were exchanged for 1,200 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers;

The eighth time:

On June 14, 0 bodies of Russian soldiers were exchanged for 1200 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers;

The ninth time:

On June 15, the bodies of 0 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 1,200 Ukrainian soldiers.

The 10th time:

On June 16, the bodies of 51 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 1248 Ukrainian soldiers.

(Note: The eleventh time since then—the fourteenth time again to the rhythm once a month)

The tenth time:

On July 17, 19 bodies of Russian soldiers were exchanged for 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers.

Twelfth time:

On August 19, the bodies of 19 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers;

The Thirteenth:

On September 18, 24 bodies of Russian soldiers were exchanged for 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers;

Fourteenth time:

On October 23, the bodies of 31 Russian soldiers were exchanged for the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers.

In the above 14 exchanges, the Ukrainian side took out a total of 383 bodies of Russian soldiers for exchange, while the Russian side took out 14,301 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers for exchange (Ukraine claimed 14,298).

It is clear that the huge difference in numbers existing in the exchange of dead bodies between the Russian and Ukrainian sides, exceeding 1 to 37, basically one Russian dead body can be exchanged for one row of Ukrainian dead bodies.

Even the number of Russian dead bodies that the Ukrainian army has been able to take out so far this year is only equivalent to half of the minimum number exchanged by the Russian army.
