According to South African media reports, three suspects are suspected of kidnapping a Chinese citizen in June this year and were killed by South African police in Johannesburg on 24 October.

According to the report, the South African National Police issued a statement on the evening of 24th, saying that the police in Gauteng province launched an operation on the same day based on information related to a previous kidnapping case and an attempted kidnapping case, and had a gun battle with the suspects in Parktown, Johannesburg, and three suspects were killed. The police also seized two illegal guns in the vehicle driven by the suspect.

A police spokesman said the three men were suspected of abducting a Chinese citizen in June and attempting to abduct another businessman in Houden province last week.
