Fujin said that 80 years ago, mankind emerged from the devastation of World War II and joined forces to establish the United Nations with the ideals of "wishing to avoid war in the future".This is an important decision taken jointly by the international community, and history has since opened a new chapter. The United Nations has become the most universal, representative and authoritative intergovernmental organization. Multilateralism has become a broad consensus, the purpose and principles of the United Nations Charter have deepened people's hearts, and the United Nations has made an indelible contribution to world peace and development.

Fu Cong said that today, 80 years later, the beautiful vision depicted in the Charter of the United Nations has not yet been realized. The world has entered a new period of turmoil and change, various global challenges are coming one after another, the global governance system is facing severe challenges, and the United Nations is at a crossroads of where to go. At this historical node, Chinese leaders solemnly put forward the global governance initiative, profoundly answered the important proposition of the times of "what kind of global governance system to build and how to reform and improve global governance", and put forward China's plan on how to solve the widening global governance deficit and promote the construction of a more just and reasonable global governance system. The global governance initiative is in line with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations. It aims to promote closer unity and cooperation among the international community and respond to the challenges of the times more effectively. It has strong guiding significance for the future development of the United Nations.
