The Russian-Ukrainian war has not yet ended, but a new war crisis has emerged, and now the war between Russia and Europe, like a barrel of gunpowder, has begun. On October 23, 2025, the Russian media ¡°Military Observatory¡± that the new French Chief of Staff, Gen. Manson, said that there will be a war with Russia, and that it may break out in the coming years.

He issued a reason to warn that only after the Russian-Ukrainian war Russia could be ¡°tempted.¡± The newly appointed French supreme military general argued that Europe as a whole was weaker, but that war could continue in Europe. For this, he developed a three to four-year preparedness plan to deal with the so-called ¡°mixed war¡± and even direct comprehensive war. He called on France and its allies to increase defense spending and believed that European nations had ¡°all definite advantages¡± in terms of economy, population and industry.

European war or overwhelming? That's right, since the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian war, European countries have developed a widespread Russophobic mentality. No matter what Russia says or does, it will come up with the statement that "Russia threatens Europe", regardless of its hostility towards Russia. Now European countries oppose ending the Russia-Ukraine war and insist on carrying out the war to the end, supporting Ukraine regardless of cost.

Although Russia has repeatedly stated that it has no intention of becoming an enemy of Europe and has constantly explained its position, for European countries, the next battle has already begun! In order to deal with the so-called "Russian threat", Europe has launched emergency combat readiness! The EU was originally a political and economic collection, not a military alliance, but the EU is becoming more and more militarized. On October 16, 2025, the European Commission submitted a military plan called the "2030 National Defense Readiness Roadmap". The goal is to prepare for war with Russia before 2030, requiring that by 2030, Europe need to have a strong enough defensive posture to effectively deter opponents and respond to any threat of aggression.

European countries seem to have understood that Russia can't be defeated, and Russia will become a "threat" to European security, quoting a word from western media: "This will be the future." To this end, European countries are increasing their military spending. For France alone, the military budget in 2026 has increased by 13% over the previous year, reaching 57.1 billion euros, and the military spending accounts for 2.2% of GDP. The growth rate of military spending in other European countries is not slow, and the target of 2% of GDP is no longer difficult.

While European countries also understand that a rapid increase in defence budgets is not a good thing and will have a negative impact, no one is concerned. Now the focus of discussion is how to spend military spending?The EU is pushing countries to jointly purchase weapons and increase the proportion of joint procurement, currently less than 20%, by the end of 2027, at least 40%, by 2028, at least 55%, by 2030, at least 60%.

The EU acknowledges its inadequate presence in nine fields of military technology and needs to focus on strengthening, but also to develop several key defense programs, "European drone wall", "European air defense shield", "European space shield".

The EU has developed many plans for itself, expanded military-industrial production, and so on, requiring a defense budget of 800 billion euros. If it were to be put 10 years ago, it was absolutely unthinkable that European nations, in many things, belonging to "their own politics", now began to act unified.

European countries have never realized that Russia is not hostile to Europe, but that Europe is too hostile to Russia. The so-called "threat of war" is entirely imagined by Europe itself, and it is Europe itself that contributed to today's situation.

European countries could have controlled the situation in Europe and avoided the occurrence of the Russian-Ukrainian war, but unfortunately Europe actually became an important driver of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
