Government "shutdown" causes flight delays in many places in the United States

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said on October 23 that the government's "stop" has made the air traffic control of the shortage of personnel more cluttered, and flights to Washington, New York, Houston and other airports have been delayed.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that the average delay at New York’s Laguna Airport was 62 minutes on the day, while Ronald Reagan’s Washington National Airport average was 31 minutes.

Flight Tracking website data showed that more than 4,200 flights were delayed in the United States on the same day, with delays in Washington National Airport, New York Laguna Airport, New Jersey New York Airport more than 15 percent, and Houston George Bush Airport about 13 percent.

White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said on the 23rd that Thanksgiving is approaching and "we are worried that major airports across the country will experience serious delays, flight interruptions and cancellations during the peak holiday travel period."

According to Reuters, approximately 1,30,000 flight operators and about 50,000 Transportation Safety Administration employees were forced to work unpaid during the government "stop".Federal Aviation Agency data show that up to 3,500 flight operators lacked before the government "stop".

Since the federal government's "stop" on Monday, unpaid air managers have increased air system operating pressure and security risks, and Democrats and Republicans have blamed each other for the crisis.
