U.S. Judge Admits Using Artificial Intelligence Caused Court Judgment to Be Wrong

On Oct. 23, local time, CBS reporter was informed that two federal judges, in response to questioning by Senate Justice Committee Chairman Chuck Grasley, admitted that the court order criticized by Grasley for "breaking out of vulnerabilities" was drafted by staff using artificial intelligence assistance.

In a letter released by Grassley's office that day, Mississippi Judge Henry Wingate and New Jersey Judge Julian Xavier Niels stated that the rulings in the two cases had not gone through the regular review process of their respective courts before being issued. Both judges said they had taken steps to improve the way decisions were reviewed. (CCTV reporter Wu Hanying)
