Guo Jiakun said that the United States has imposed a comprehensive blockade on Cuba for more than 60 years, which has caused severe disasters to the Cuban people. Instead of reflecting on itself, the United States has intensified its efforts and engaged in coercive diplomacy, which seriously violates international law and the basic norms of international relations, violates international humanitarian principles, and blatantly stands on the opposite side of fairness and justice, and will surely meet widespread opposition from the international community. China firmly opposes the U.S. blockade and sanctions against Cuba. Since 1992, it has voted in support of the resolution sponsored by Cuba on lifting the U.S. blockade against Cuba 32 consecutive times in the United Nations General Assembly. Nearly 190 countries around the world have supported this resolution. It is clear at a glance that the people's support is clear. China will continue to firmly support the Cuban people in pursuing a development path that suits their national conditions, safeguard sovereignty and dignity, and oppose external interference and blockade. We urge the United States to lift its comprehensive blockade against Cuba as soon as possible, remove Cuba from the list of so-called "sponsors of terrorism" countries, and do more to improve Cuban-US relations and promote regional peace and stability.
