After the war, the reconstruction of the trillion market and the launch of five overseas infrastructure leaders will benefit the most.

The French Presidential Palace issued a joint statement on October 21, stating that many countries in Europe and the United States "strongly support" Trump's immediate ceasefire plan for Russia and Ukraine, using the current front as the starting point for negotiations.

The three-year conflict has come to an end, and a reconstruction market with a scale of over 800 billion US dollars has surfaced. Ukrainian President Zelensky has previously publicly called on China to participate in reconstruction, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency has also expressed its willingness to provide support.

For China, this reconstruction is not only a business opportunity, but also a springboard for Chinese engineering standards to Europe.

Assessments by the United Nations and the World Bank show that the funding gap for reconstruction in Ukraine reaches US$750 - 800 billion, of which more than 60% is concentrated in infrastructure fields such as energy, transportation, and housing.

The war resulted in 30% of Ukrainian homes being destroyed, 23,000 kilometers of roads, 2,000 bridges to be repaired, and 40% of the electricity system paralyzed.

What is urgent is that 30% of the country's territory is contaminated by mines, and the cost of demining is as high as US$20 billion. These demands have spawned business opportunities across the entire industry chain, from demining and building materials to energy equipment.

Infrastructure construction is the core of reconstruction, and Chinese enterprises seize the opportunity by virtue of cost performance and construction period advantages. Beixin Road and Bridge had participated in the construction of national highways in Ukraine before the war, and 15% of the EU's US $55 billion reconstruction funds were directed to road projects. The company is expected to lead the repair of thousands of kilometers of highways.

Sinosteel International has accumulated projects in the steel field in Ukraine, with overseas revenue accounting for 74%. Its belt roaster pellet technology can be directly used for the reconstruction of steel mills. China International's water engineering capabilities can solve the damage problem of water supply and drainage systems in Ukraine. The company's overseas revenue accounts for 67% and is radiating to the Ukraine market through the China-Belarus Industrial Park.

Building materials account for more than 70% of the total reconstruction volume, and the demand for steel, cement and welding materials has surged. As the global leader in cement engineering, Sinoma International accounts for 54% of overseas revenue and can provide integrated solutions for cement plants.

Harbin Welding Huatong's high-end welding materials have been exported to Ukraine for steel structure bridges and buildings. In terms of construction machinery, Tietuo Machinery, as the only asphalt equipment manufacturer in China that has obtained CE certification from the European Union, has confirmed an order of 300 million yuan from Ukraine; Shantui's bulldozers account for more than 30% of Urumqi, and the restart of infrastructure construction will drive equipment updates.

Ukraine plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 25%, and Chinese photovoltaic and wind power companies are facing opportunities. Longyuan Power already has 76.5 MW wind power projects in Ukraine, and post-war expansion orders are highly certain. Northern International's modular substation technology can shorten the power grid repair period by 40% and adapt to emergency power needs. Beacon Energy's pre-war Ukraine revenue accounted for 35.81%, and its oil and gas drilling rig equipment will be used to restart energy extraction.

Demining is the first step in reconstruction. China Shipbuilding's emergency demining robots have been used in international peacekeeping missions. Ukraine's 30% minefield clearance needs have created a market of tens of billions. The company's modular emergency bridge can also quickly restore traffic and solve the problem of bridge damage in war zones.

Reconstruction faces a geopolitical game. The United States passed the "Reconstruction of Ukraine Act" to give priority to the purchase of domestic products and restrict Chinese companies from participating in key projects.

The EU’s $55 billion budget needs to be approved by 27 parliaments, which could be delayed. In addition, challenges such as corruption problems in Ukraine and the integration of technical standards with the EU require Chinese companies to obtain EU certification qualifications in advance and strengthen risk management and control.
