Preliminary data released by the German Federal Statistical Office recently show that,The United States is losing Germany¡¯s largest trading partner.In the eight months before 2025, China will become Germany¡¯s largest trading partner.

Data shows that in the first eight months of this year, Germany's exports to the United States were 101 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%. Among them, exports in August were only 10.9 billion euros, down 2.5% month-on-month and 20.1% year-on-year, setting the lowest level since November 2021. In the first eight months of this year, Germany's imports from the United States were 63.4 billion euros.

Dirk Jandula, president of the German Wholesale and Foreign Trade Association, said that the US tariff policy is an important reason for the decline of German exports to the United States.
