On the same morning, the Chinese tourist safety and rights and interests protection meeting was held in Bangkok, and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports and other Thai departments met to exchange on the security and legal rights and interests of Chinese tourists.

Vanida said that there are 79 tourist service centers across Thailand, and the service language includes Chinese. Tourists in distress in Thailand can also call the 1155 Tourism Police Hotline equipped with Chinese customer service or log in to the "Thailand Tourism Police" mobile application to call the police.

Vaneda said Thailand has installed multiple cameras at major tourist attractions to quickly resolve tourism disputes.In addition, Thailand also plans to introduce travel insurance for foreign tourists.

Representatives from Thailand Tourism Police, Immigration Bureau, Airport Administration and other departments also said that they would improve the security of Chinese tourists and further enhance the image of Thailand's safe tourism.

Xi Jinping, Ambassador General and Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, said that he hoped that Thailand would further strengthen security and introduce more targeted facilitation measures to continuously improve the satisfaction of Chinese tourists.

According to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, between January 1 and September 30, this year, more than 341,7 million Chinese tourists visited Thailand.
