The “Victory 21” was officially named after the shipyard belonging to Singapore’s New Scientific Engineering Company and was officially named by the country’s defense minister’s wife Chen Zhang. Unusually, the new ship not only used the name of the head of the “Victory” missile escort ship, but also used the same nickname “88”.
It is worth noting that the new vessel will only take 12 months from laying the dragon bone to disembarking. The vessel will then be transferred to another shipyard for subsequent fitting, system integration and sea trials before it will be officially served. The six multi-purpose combat ships are expected to be delivered in a row from 2028.
