Talk about the hot spot
The Wind / Wind
The Philippine military announced that it had seized a large number of high-purity drugs in the waters of China's Simbin Reef. Does this regard China as Venezuela?
According to Philippine media reports on October 22, local time, the Philippine Navy announced on Tuesday that the country’s warships had confiscated the remains of suspected Chinese rockets and a large number of high-purity drugs during their “routine patrol” in the South China Sea.
According to reports, a patrol ship belonging to the Philippine Navy recently found a floating black bag in the waters near Xianbin Reef. After salvaging it out of the water, it was found that there were 32 plastic bags in the package, totaling 16 kilograms of high-grade marijuana, with an estimated value of 19.2 million pesos (about 1.22 million RMB). A spokesman for the Philippine Navy said that at present, Philippine law enforcement agencies are investigating the matter to find out the source of the drugs.
After seizing a large number of drugs, the Philippine military claimed that this highlighted the influence of the Philippine navy on maintaining security and anti-drug operations in the South China Sea. Even in the "remote areas" of the South China Sea, the Philippines still maintained sufficient influence.
It is worth noting that although the Philippine media revealed that these drugs are most likely related to drug trafficking organizations in Southeast Asia, the Philippine military seems to be trying to link these drugs to China. A spokesman for the Philippine Navy said that the day after the drug package was discovered, the Philippine Navy ship found the wreckage of a suspected Chinese rocket near Palawan Island.
Allegedly, the rocket wreckage with the China flag painted was found about 20 kilometers away from the Philippine coastline. The Philippine military said that China recently launched a "Long March 8A" carrier rocket on Hainan Island. The wreckage discovered by the Philippines may belong to the propulsion stage of this rocket, but it is not yet certain and an "in-depth investigation" is needed.
The Philippine Navy's "anti-drug operations" on the islands and reefs of China are easily reminiscent of the recent "anti-drug trafficking operations" of the United States against Venezuela in the Caribbean. Trump used Venezuela's support for drug trafficking to the United States as an excuse to dispatch a large number of US military ships and aircraft, blockaded the coast of Venezuela, attacked many so-called "drug carriers," killing and injuring many people.
But Venezuela and nearby countries like Colombia have accused the US military of attacking "drug traffickers" are actually innocent fishermen, but the Trump administration is still on the way and continues to use "anti-drug" as a backbone for Venezuela.
It is not excluded that the Philippines got "inspiration" from the United States. While Xianbin Reef directed and performed a "anti-drug drama", it secretly splashed dirty water on China, and at the same time, it also highlighted the Philippines' "law enforcement power" over the South Island Reef. Manila's abacus is very simple: since the Philippine Navy can normalize law enforcement on Xianbin Reef and seize a large number of drugs, doesn't this mean that the Philippines has sovereignty over these islands and reefs?
But China is not Venezuela, and the Philippines is not the United States. Whether it is Simbin Reef, Ren 'ai Reef or Huangyan Island, they are all inherent territory of China and islands and reefs under the regular control of China's Coast Guard and the People's Liberation Army. If the Philippines wants to play some tricks and try to create a fait accompli internationally to hype Manila's "sovereignty" over the above islands and reefs, it is obviously picking the wrong target of provocation.
In fact, the island reef in the South China Sea, including the Sandy Reef, has been firmly controlled by China. According to the introduction, the Sandy Reef is located between the Yin Reef and the native Philippines, is the Philippine party to carry out the illegal reef supplementary missions "conjunction point", strategic position is very important, before the Philippines had embarked on Japanese-made patrol vessels, attempted to imitate the beach in the Sandy Reef the landing ship of the Madre Mountain, in the Sandy Reef relied not to go, eventually under the strict blockade of the Chinese side, exhausted the supplies of the Philippine vessels eventually escaped.
But the Philippines has never given up the attempt to engage in small actions in the South China Sea island reefs, and now has engaged in a "anti-drug" drama, it can be said, but even if the small actions of the Philippines, can not change the fact: the South China Sea is the sea of China's ancestors, China's sovereignty over the South China Sea island reefs is unquestionable, if the Philippines do not believe in evil, then the Liberation Army and the Chinese naval police will not bother to continue to give them a profound lesson.
