On October 21, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Airbus CEO Furi. The two sides exchanged views on Airbus's cooperation with China.

Wang Wentao said that in recent years, the scale of China's market has steadily expanded and has become the second largest consumer market and import market in the world. China will continue to promote Chinese-style modernization and develop new productivity, which will provide broad development space for foreign-funded enterprises including Airbus. It is hoped that Airbus will take the commissioning of Tianjin's second A320 assembly line as an opportunity to continue to strengthen cooperation with China and provide more high-quality aviation products and services for China and the world.

Wang Ventao stressed that at present, the fragmentation of the world economy is accelerating, unilateralism and protectionism impact the international economic and trade order, instability and uncertainty are significantly increasing.China will continue to play the role of the roundtable of foreign enterprises, actively promote the solution of Airbus' problems and concerns encountered in China's development and operation, and jointly safeguard the stability of the global supply chain.

Fu Li said that Airbus is full of confidence in the development of China's economy and civil aviation industry, and the commissioning of Tianjin's second A320 assembly line has provided favorable conditions for Airbus to strengthen cooperation with China. Airbus is willing to continue to deepen the Chinese market and contribute to promoting Sino-French and China-EU economic and trade cooperation.
